_chased
Chased is a participatory experience that transforms the citizen into the absolute protagonist of the installation. The project reflects on the concept of «stardom» in the digital age: in a world where humans constantly seek the spotlight, what happens when it is the spotlight itself that chases us?

Core Mission
Interactive Urban Intervention
Developed in collaboration with Playmodes, Chased hacks urban infrastructure to transform Girona’s Central Park into a dynamic, relational stage. By synchronizing interactive light logic with human movement, the project functions as a sociological experiment on visibility and the digital ego. The installation shifts the role of public lighting from a passive service to an active performer that observes and follows the pedestrian, turning a routine walk into a participatory reflection on the desire for recognition.

The Rhythm of Light: Sound & Motion Sync
A key element of the installation’s atmospheric power was the direct dialogue between the soundscape and the lighting choreography. The ‘dance’ of the spotlights was not random; it was meticulously synchronized with a sonic layer that included fragments of Stravinsky’s ‘The Rite of Spring’. This musical integration dictated the intensity and timing of the light movements, creating a multisensory experience where the urban infrastructure seemed to breathe and react in unison with the music. The result was a seamless fusion where the rhythm of the dance was visually translated into moving beams of light, amplifying the emotional impact of the urban stage
