_the blue room
Inspired by Derek Jarman’s cult film Blue, this installation replaces the cinematic screen with a physical, immersive environment. The project explores the boundaries of the body and its intimacy through a monochromatic Ultramarine blue lens, creating a tranquil yet haunting sensory experience for the performers and the audience alike.
A deep dive into the ultramarine void: An ephemeral space where light becomes a liquid element, bridging the gap between performance and architectural atmosphere.

Core Mission
Visualizing the void: A technical approach to immersive scenography.
By utilizing a perimeter of high-reflectivity, we generate a system of ‘underwater’ light caustics that dance across the theater’s architecture. This light logic doesn’t just illuminate the space; it dissolves the physical boundaries of the room, creating an oneiric environment where the body of the dancer becomes a silhouette lost in an endless, ultramarine dream.»
